This is way more entertaining than I thought it would be.
He’s really making it easy for her.
Oh god these two are our choices.

It’s making me so uncomfortable. It’s like watching a Louis CK tv show

I completely forgot this was happening tonight. Good thing we’ve already picked our Prime Minister.

This isn’t reality TV.
This is a public job interview for the office of the President and it should be treated with the gravity of that office.
Sigh... Can’t this all be over already??

This is the first debate that I’ve watched. Ehhh....

Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are making some good live tweeting during the debate
And fuck the commission for not letting them in! #letgarydebate

Both people in this debate have no idea what they’re talking about 50% of the time.

I made a point of not watching, but I’ve been reading the live blog over on The Concourse. Makes me wish I and watched it, I think.

I guess I really don’t understand the hate people feel towards her. She’s a professional. Just like I don’t want a frat boy as my doctor or lawyer, I certainly don’t want one for a president.

This isn’t entertaining, it’s genuinely terrifying.

I’m listening to it on NPR. I said I wouldn’t, but I’m glad I am. Trump’s views on race and policing are, well, I don’t agree with them.

Go watch John Oliver’s most recent video.
She made a dumb decision, but it is neither as damaging nor malicious as people are being told the believe. If your every moment was watched by your rivals to be used against you for as long as her life has been, would you not be as cautious and reserved as well?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Also, Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are also highly qualified professionals. Successful, popular republican governors of blue states.
And Jill Stein had been the most successful female presidential candidate until just now (most votes in a general election).

![]() 09/26/2016 at 22:31 |

While professional, Johnson and Weld’s politics just don’t scale up to the national level in my opinion. And Jill Stein panders to the worst of the left, all emotion with no content/facts.

I can’t bring myself to watch. I fear I will have to wait for a summary from the Daily Show or John Oliver.

But she’s been lying, changing positions, and making excuses for the past few decades. At the beginning, I was uncertain of Trump, but I’ve started to like him a lot, especially when his competition is a terrible woman like her.
Plus, she’s hugely sympathetic towards a religion so oppressive that even the somewhat religious women have to cover their hair.

You can’t just say your going to destroy a religion and force your beliefs on them, which is what Trump wants to do.
![]() 09/26/2016 at 22:43 |

Yeah, she’s basically a left-wing Donald Trump, which is no better than a right-wing Trump :(

But he’s been lying, changing positions, and making excuses for the past few decades. At the beginning, I was uncertain of Hillary, but I’ve started to like her a lot, especially when his competition is a terrible child like him.
Plus, he’s hugely sympathetic towards neo-nazis so oppressive that even the “somewhat” black or gay or basically everyone other than white men can’t even express themselves without fear of retribution.

Lots of denominations of Jews have rules governing every aspect of what women are allowed to do. That has more to do with being a religious fundamental than it does with what the religion is.

Yet, Trump would rather nuke them all into oblivion, along with all the “gays” and “the blacks” too.
![]() 09/27/2016 at 09:56 |

No.
You do not get to vaguely call the most qualified candidate a “terrible woman,” citing your personal opinions about Islam as evidence she supports the oppression of women (hint: there are in fact Muslim feminists, some who choose various forms of modest/traditional dress for their own reasons), when the person you “like a lot” is a blatant, on-the-record, serial misogynist who believes that women who have abortions must be punished and that Planned Parenthood should be defunded. It does not follow. I cannot WAIT for the VP debate so Kaine can verbally nail Pence to the wall on that nonsense.

I get that you’re trying to be humorous, but that isn’t funny.
The conflict in Syria is nothing to make light of.
Mocking a candidate for not knowing about it is fair game. They should know about the rest of the world if they want to be a world leader.
Mocking the conflict itself isn’t very kind.

How the hell can you afford a place in Vancouver that has space for two couches?
![]() 09/27/2016 at 22:05 |

A. Not in Vancouver proper
B. I know the landlords and got a reeaally good deal
![]() 09/27/2016 at 22:26 |

A: Doesn’t matter.
B: Truuuu
![]() 09/27/2016 at 22:58 |

It does though, not a huge amount, but being out of Vancouver itself makes everything a bit cheaper. The farther out you go, the cheaper it gets. Except Whistler.

Sorry if that offended you. Not my intent.
![]() 09/27/2016 at 23:42 |

It’s not that it’s offensive. And I am not a Syrian so I cannot claim to have been offended anyway.
I was simply pointing out it was a rather insensitive remark. Refugees are _people_ and given how insulated the US is from the rest of the world we often forget that we aren’t the only people on the planet.
Anyway, sorry to scold you over nothing really.
![]() 09/27/2016 at 23:52 |

It was insensitive. Those poor people deserve all the help they can get.
